This venue, next to the Archives metro station, is as centrally located and easy to get to as you can get via Metro rail, making it a great spot for weeknight practice after work. When we set up, we are visible from the top of the escalators.
There are a lot of people walking by, making it a great place to show off your moves. When it gets dark early in the fall, we set up tea lights instead of slalom cones to add to the spectacle.
There is plenty of room at our spot for both show-offs and beginners to practice, and plenty of nearby sitting space to set down your stuff.
After we finish skating, there are tons of restaurants nearby to gather afterwards to talk about our skating session.
